Plans in for employment schemes second phase
An application has been submitted proposing the second phase of an employment project in Derbyshire, which is forecast to create almost 500 jobs.Limes Developments Ltd is seeking outline planning consent for the proposed expansion of the existing Park 38 development adjacent to the A38 at South Normanton. The applicant said it wishes to retain some flexibility regarding use so that the scheme is able to attract either general industrial (such as manufacturing) occupiers, or those seeking warehousing and distribution premises.Similarly, flexible options for car parking are shown, with 389 car parking spaces proposed for the B8 units, increasing to 687 spaces if the units are B2, including 6 per cent disabled parking provision.Once fully developed and occupied, it is estimated that the scheme would support approximately 496 gross full-time equivalent (FTE) jobs on-site.A statement filed with Bolsover District Council on behalf of the applicant said: “These proposals have been designed to complement the existing offer of the wider context, encouraging investment and growth to the surrounding areas.”The proposals will be finished to the highest quality to match phase one and ensure the longevity of the scheme.”
